Halstad

We paddled over 30 miles today in ferocious winds. Luckily, the wind was from the south. Luckily, the Red River is still flowing north. We are at Halstad, Minnesota, home of the world’s largest sugar beet. It is about 50 miles south of Grand Forks as the crow flies, not as we fly.  All is well.
